Who am I?

I am Hatice Bilgic Lim, MS, PhD, MBA. I have been writing and training for writing for more than 25 years. I can't wait to connect with you and help you reach your writing goals quickly, easily and confidently!
WHAT PEOPLE SAY
As a new PhD student, I was really struggling to get through and make sense of dense research papers. Hatice's annotated bibliography technique finally helped me synthesize information from multiple sources effectively. I was able to correlate the literature to my own research without getting distracted with all the details and supplementary information. Hatice was friendly, informative and answered all of my questions even when they were additional to the topic of the session.
I used to find summarizing scientific papers so difficult and time consuming. I wanted to learn how to extrapolate the key findings of a paper without having to spend hours reading it and other background papers. After attending Hatice's coaching sessions, I have simple, effective strategies that help me identify and summarize key points much faster and write Background sections for my papers quickly.
Hatice’s Scientific Reading Training Program has been an invaluable resource for our first and second-year graduate students in STEM fields. She was easy to work with and attended to all of the details required by our university’s Graduate Student and Postdoctoral Affairs Office. She developed a program tailored specifically for our graduate students many of which were first-generation college attendees and international scholars. Her program was well-structured and easy to follow with online videos and live zoom calls, and the feedback from our students has been very positive.

Academic Writing Coach
I work with college graduate students and career academics. I provide support for writing project planning, structuring, editing, time management and accountability. The academic clients benefit from my services to outline, start and finish their theses, submit their research manuscripts to peer-reviewed journals, complete popular magazine articles or book projects as well as conference presentations.
Professional Writing Coach
I support entrepreneurs and professionals in non-profit and corporate settings to plan, structure, edit and complete their writing projects including website content, grant proposals, business reports, powerpoint presentations, and scientific and medical documents.
My coaching helps technical subject matter experts struggling with generating writing that is persuasive and factual to non-expert audiences.
